Renaissance on Peachtree

The existing architecture at Renaissance is of a very classic, traditional design style. studioSIX5 sought to enhance this style with bright colors and bold patterns, and do so within a limited budget. By using Shaw Hospitality’s Vivid Palette, we were able to provide a very contemporary but traditional infused aesthetic at a reasonable price point. Working within the collection we varied the carpet designs in each room giving every space its own personality. The variety of the collection allowed us to maintain a cohesive feel throughout the community. studioSIX5 also used Shaw Hard Surface products to accent neighboring carpeted areas where more durable flooring materials were required. The sculpted engineered hardwoods were used in high profile areas like the Reception Area, Main Lobby Café and the Bar. The wood-look Quiet Cover was used in the Independent Living Craft Room and Salon. It was also used in all Assisted Living commons areas to promote a feeling of warmth while providing the durability and ease of maintenance required in these spaces. studioSIX5 prides itself in providing a consistent design aesthetic as well as meeting necessary functional requirements across all levels of senior care. By utilizing the Shaw Hospitality Vivid Palette carpet collection and Shaw Hard Surface products we were able to seamlessly achieve this objective.

The Renaissance on Peachtree is a 27 year old, 15 story Independent & Assisted Living Senior Living Community whose occupancy prior to the recent renovation was low. studioSIX5 was engaged to renovate all 15 floors of resident- use space including resident apartments, corridors, common areas and all activity spaces. The interiors of Renaissance, while having good bones, lacked life and color. Since the renovation has been completed, the community is nearing 80% occupancy. studioSIX5’s method of providing a balance between design and function began with applying flooring and other finishes in a way that would enhance the existing architecture and create spaces which are warm, fun and inviting. The team designed all public areas to reflect the needs of the residents, their families and caregivers while keeping the design fresh and energetic to encourage constant activity and resident interaction. Residents say that their favorite amenity additions from this renovation include the Café and Bar areas, but they are most excited about the new restaurant-style center banquette in the Main Dining Room. The tables at this banquette are the most requested seats and create an intimate atmosphere while dining. The overall dining venue is reminiscent of the Buckhead dining experiences of their hayday.
